Aberdeen Area Guild

Aberdeen Area Quilt Guild celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2011. As its name suggests, members of this wonderful group hail from Webster to Turton, Faulkton to Leola, as well as Aberdeen. The group meets the third Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. Meetings are held in the Textiles Room at the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center (ARCC) from January through April and September through November. Meeting sites may vary for the December Christmas party and from May to September.

Meetings offer lively gatherings of friends, annual year long challenges, yearly guild retreats to Blue Cloud Abbey, show and tell, quilt related program and lunch. We participate in special projects including providing baby quilts to area hospitals, helping with Quilts of Valor, decorating a Christmas tree at the Dacotah Prairie Museum, helping with the Andover Threshing Show’s Quilt Show and hosting our own quilt show every 2-3 years. Meetings are just fun, fun, fun!
